Uni student stands out in Diamond Race

Shanghai University student Koffi, came in 6th in the 100 meter race, with nine competitors, at the Shanghai Diamond League meet, on May 18, with Justin Gatlin, from the United States, a 2004 Olympic champion bringing in his fastest time this year.??

Koffi, whose time was 10.27 seconds, has had four hard years of training while at Shanghai University. He took ??3rd place at the 2014 African Championships and got the same result at the 2013 World University Games.

??He has a Shanghai government scholarship and a master’s degree in economics.??

The Shanghai IAAF [International Association of Athletics Federations] Diamond race had nine reigning world champions this year, is an annual track and field event.??
